With God, it is all or nothing. Just going through the motions or partially following Him will not benefit anyone. Unfortunately, that describes what so many people do as a sort of “lion protection” or “fire insurance.” They insist on keeping their pet idols, their own priorities, and, then occasionally give some sort of lip service to the Lord just in case. They think for His benefit they should show up once in a while to church, but they never really serve Him with their whole heart—and it shows.
