When the Lord performs a miracle, He doesn’t just barely squeak by to get it done. He does it fully and beyond measure. Abraham’s body was restored to a strong, virile one, producing several more sons after the death of Sara when he remarried (in addition to producing offspring with the concubines that he had). It was the plentiful blessing of the covenant already in full operation.
This same generous, bountiful tendency of the Lord is seen again in the story of the multiplication of the loaves and fishes found in Luke 9:12-17. The Lord could have just supplied enough for the multitude to get by, but instead, the Bible says they all ate their full, and there were twelve baskets of left-overs collected after the meal.
