Always seek the glory of God in every situation, regardless of what it looks like at the time. The condition of Jesus’ friend Lazarus looked very serious, yet Jesus tarried two more days before even discussing going to him. But Jesus had a plan, a plan that would both bring glory to the Father and Himself and also show His disciples that Jesus not only could heal the sick, but also raise the dead because He is the Resurrection and the Life.
The Bible tells us that He loved Lazarus and his sisters. They had a close, special relationship. Yet Jesus did not drop everything and come running when they called for Him. He was confident that everything would work out fine, and He needed people to see for themselves the resurrection…
