At the Altar December 15

Scripture Selection: Psalm 43:4; Proverbs 15:8; Hebrews 4:16

Food for Thought: Ps. 43:4

It’s much to our advantage to make a habit of approaching the throne of God and spending time there. We can go to the throne of God no matter where we may find ourselves; it’s simply the place of prayer, praise, and worship before our Lord.

Spending time in His presence pleases the Father. God truly delights in the prayers of His people and is glad for their acknowledgement of His greatness by their praise and worship. In addition, as we approach His throne, we draw from the source of joy. There we also receive mercy and find grace to help us in times of need, making time in His presence quite pleasing and beneficial to us, as well.
