Bitter Water/Sweet Water August 18

In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, a stark difference between those whose attitude was right, and those whose attitude was full of bitterness could be seen in the victims, the press, and the politicians. Many victims did nothing but complain, even when they were safe, while others chose to say they were blessed because they have life, despite having lost everything.

Believers gave remarkable testimonies of God’s provision in the midst of all the difficulties. Yet others among the politicians, press, and the like had nothing to say but criticism and complaints, causing more disgust and anguish instead of producing hope and life. Thank God for Christian television that focused on the people who had uplifting words to say despite the horrible circumstances…
