Modern-Day Good Samaritans May 24

Lately I’ve been hearing a lot, both in the secular news and in reports from ministries, about the plight of millions of people in the Sudan. The pictures of the suffering, emaciated people there and the drought-stricken, violent land in which they live are images that move me to tears and cause me to ask, “Lord, what can I do?”

There are situations close to home, as well, that require an immediate Christian, loving response. God’s Word is clear about it. If you are aware of someone in danger of death (be it spiritually or physically), do something about it. Do something to alleviate the suffering. You may not be able to put an end to the problem in the bigger picture, but God…
