Many of us have been anticipating the verdicts of the Gosnell trial. Some have become uneasy as to the length of the deliberations.
Breitbart is reporting that the jury is hung on two counts. But, we don’t know which two. The deliberations were anticipated to take a long while because of the scope they were asked to deal with. Gosnell has 263 charges pending against him. So, by the simple number of charges we expected that this take some time. Further, following the trial, I think there was some prosecutorial overreach where none was needed. I would rather they went after the more obvious murders and kept it simple for the jury, but, I’m no attorney.
Our judicial system is framed to protect the accused. There are times when we don’t like this, but, it beats the alternative. There’s no way Gosnell can ever be held to answer for…
