Even the secular Easter bunny is banned.

What a sad pathetic statement about our educational system. 

I’ll just quote a couple of paragraphs from the story.  If you want to read the rest of the bizarre idiocy, feel free.

Television station WHNT reported that teachers were informed that

“Kids love the bunny and we just so that we don’t infringe on the rights of others ,” she told the television station. “A bunny is a bunny and a rabbit is a rabbit.”

The idiot babbling this nonsense is Heritage Elementary School principal Lydia Davenport. 

While I don’t agree with the entire aversion of Christian holidays in school, I can appreciate some people’s desire to keep things separate. 

However, banning legitimate words from a school is entirely out of the scope of what education is suppose to be and wholly inappropriate.  Pretending something doesn’t exist doesn’t make it non-existent.  And, while…
