Being a political junky for years, I’ve seen something I don’t recall ever seeing before.
The U.S. has law enforcement officers suing the Federal Government’s Administration in order to enforce the law.
I don’t know why this is such a tricky concept. I doubt this will make it through the court system, but it would be nice if it did. In this country, (and many others) we have 3 branches of government. They have 3 very distinct roles.
The legislative branch passes laws. In spite of some apparent thoughts to the contrary, these are not suggestions nor guidelines. They’re are laws.
The administrative branch is to enforce the laws passed by the legislature. This typically isn’t referred to as optional. There is, of course, a remedy when there may be a question to the law passed. This remedy is availed to both government and private citizens. We call it…
