A few days ago I did a post as to why some polls were showing Obama moving away from Romney.  I attributed it to the American success in the Olympics.  (BTW, from where I sat, the Brits did a bang up job on hosting the Olympics and deserve huge kudos.)  In the post, I stated that the bump in the polls for Obama was temporary.  Well, here’s my quote… “None of this will last beyond 3 days of the closing ceremony.”

So what do we see today?  From Gallup…. Romney  47%-Obama 45%  7-day rolling average

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Thursday shows Mitt Romney attracting support from 45% of voters nationwide, while President Obama earns the vote from 44%. Four percent (4%) prefer some other candidate, and seven percent (7%) are undecided
